Our designer will specify new structural members or alterations to the existing structure. It is also necessary to submit calculations to your Building Control Dept. to justify new or existing members.

The existing ceiling joists are unlikely to be adequate to act as floor joists, therefore new deeper joists will be needed. The new floor joists will be supported on existing load-bearing walls or steel beams.
