The Cairns family from Maidenbower in Crawley, West Sussex needed extra space for their growing family to enjoy. We were asked to supply a complete design and build service, including full architectural drawings. The project consisted of a two storey side elevation extension to the main house that created a larger kitchen and utility room to the ground floor, an extended bedroom and an additional en-suite to the master bedroom. The extension added additional depth for the conversion.
The loft conversion consisted of three rear elevation hipped dormers, combined with banked Velux windows. Combined with the sloping and vertical elements of the roof, this created a feeling of space and well being. The once dark roof space is now flooded with light and life. In order to gain natural light and ventilation to the stairwell leading up to the loft space, we installed a large arched window that added to the success of this project.
